Services for Professionals

Educational Training Workshops
Our training workshops are designed to specifically educate professionals in children’s services on various child development topics. All information provided is based on current research findings to ensure that participants are taught up-to-date techniques and methods. One of the main goals of the training is to get professionals excited about the topics they are learning and eager to incorporate their new knowledge within the workplace, which is why we make them fun and interactive. Participants are encouraged to ask questions and to get involved in open discussions between other attendees and the lecturer. The workshops last 2 hours, unless otherwise noted. Refreshments and a snack are provided. For details on a particular workshop, see our topic descriptions. Contact us about discounts for onsite training for your team.

Ages & Stages Questionnaires: A Parent-Completed, Child Monitoring System Training for Professionals
This training provides professionals with the skills and confidence to administer the Ages & Stages Questionnaires: A Parent-Completed, Child Monitoring System. (link to Description Page) Professionals that work in a child care or primary school setting will find this screening kit most useful in detecting possible developmental concerns in children and to ensure that all children are meeting age appropriate developmental milestones. All participants learn how to administer, score and interpret the results of the questionnaires. In addition, participants will learn how to design various intervention activities to assist children who may be in need of further assistance. Please contact us (link to Contact Us page) to inquire about this most beneficial training.

Business Consultation:
Business consultations allow an opportunity for directors or owners of child care centres to sit down with an expert in the child development field to discuss how they can raise the standard of their services. Sometimes changes in the environment set-up or documentation strategies is all it takes to help support your staff in acheiving goals of the Early Years Lerning Framework.
Statistics show that child care standards in Australia rank among the lowest in the world. These findings may be factual, but it doesn’t have to ring true for your centre. One of the main reason centres in other countries have higher standards is because there is more than one type of accreditation. The U.S. for example has accreditation through the National Association of Education in Young Children (NAEYC) which has stricter requirements than government regulations, such as lower child-to-staff ratios and advanced requirements for classroom environments. Centres that boast such accreditation are very appealing to parents who are searching for state-of-the-art child care. Megan Nguyen has several years of experience working in centres with such accreditation and invites you to contact our office to see what improvements you may be able to make in your centre.
The smallest adjustments will benefit your families and make your centre more marketable. With the increased demand in childcare, it is important to make your centre stand out by making it a notch above the rest!

School and Centre Developmental Assessments:
It is very important for all children to have a developmental assessment to screen for possible delays before the age of three. All children should at the very least have a screening done before they enter primary school. Primary schools and child care centres can make this process easy for parents by setting up a simple assessment day at their facility. Please contact us for our special group discount rates.
