Growing Minds is a privately owned business which was founded to aid parents in ensuring their children are given the opportunities to reach their full potential. It also aims to improve the dynamic between parents, children and other members within the family structure. As experts in the child development field, we believe it is important to support research which proves the importance of early detection of developmental delays. Many children are affected by developmental delays that remain undetected until they reach primary school, or even until later in life. Unfortunately, the longer the delay is unnoticed, the more challenging it can be to improve or correct. Current studies show that if a developmental delay is detected before the age of three, intervention programs to improve the delay are much more effective. All children should have a developmental assessment before this age to ensure that they are meeting their developmental milestones by the appropriate age.
We offer developmental assessments that will screen for possible concerns in socio-emotional, cognitive, fine and gross motor, linguistic and behavioural development for children 0-6 years of age. We also believe that community education is important, which is why Growing Minds conducts training workshops for professionals in the child development field and for parents who may need guidance with particular childhood stages that can be challenging. All techniques and methods that we teach are based on the most current research. Our consultation services also provide an excellent opportunity to get credible advice from an expert.
